About

Don Gutoski’s fascination for photographing wildlife in its natural environment was sparked by a high school summer trip to the parks of Kenya. He later trained as a physician at home, in Canada, and has practiced emergency medicine since 1981. Travelling around the world to observe the creatures who share this planet and to capture their images has become his passion. “I love to observe animals in their own environment and record their activities. This supports the countries that are home to these creatures and, ultimately, the animals themselves.”

Don won the natural history Museum and BBC Wildlife,  Photographer of the Year 2015 for  “A Tale of Two Foxes.”
