Welcome all.
Every trip you get a few “odd” shots. Some are creative and planned out, others just happen randomly and by luck. Occasionally one of them makes you look like you know what you are doing as a photographer. A good photographer never divulges which is which. So enjoy these photos and think of the planning that went into making them happen; or not!

#1) Orangutan looks like he’s playing with those wax teeth we bought as kids to go with a humorous Halloween costume.

#2) Proboscis Monkey; On his phone! You can almost hear him saying…. “That’s right, 500 ripe bananas, delivered”.

#3) Orangutan origami, or a primate pretzel. Do not try this at home if you are over 14.

#4) King Kong of Borneo. Very intimidating if taken out of context; or mid yawn if the truth is told.

#5) Bornean Nessie. What lurks under the water? More will be revealed in a later post.

#6) Spin Dry. A blue-eared Kingfisher shakes off after a dive.

#7) Monkey trapeze. These ropes are strung over some of the smaller streams to facilitate the various primates in crossing the water. With a real threat from the many crocodiles, It certainly allows movement in the jungle. The various monkeys and orangutans have learned the safety of the “high wire” and are very entertaining to observe in their crossings.

#8) Gibbon leap. It appears this gibbon is leaping straight up from a small twig, defying gravity and physics. A slight adjustment as I rotated the image 90 degrees.
Until next time; stay safe. At least you don’t have to worry about crocs in the water, unless this global warming thing continues. I bet you didn’t think about that!!!
